About three hours south of Bangkok it is the last town of any size before reaching the far south so travellers often stop on the way down or back from destinations such as Phuket.

Khao Takiep Temple
Situated up a very steep hill just south of town, this
not very attractive temple does have one draw, well two it has great views back to Hua Hin and around 1600 wild monkeys that love to eat anything you give them.
Venders sell peanuts and bananas for you to give to the monkeys but mostly they run up an snatch them or lean down from bush and grab the whole lot great fun for an hour or so.
