Lanta Summer House

Is a typical beach-side bungalow resort with three bed air-conditionedbungalows. The restaurant is in the lower price range but the offerings, whileextensive, are very watered down: they don’t do spicy. Poolside bungalows from800 baht per night. Nice and friendly staff.

Accommodation

Ko Lanta has three tourist seasons: low, high andpeak. Visiting in the lowseason (May to October) is likely to be very quietindeed: so quiet in fact that you’ll have difficulty getting accommodation asmany of the resorts shut down.

The resorts open for the high season in Novemberand close in May. The peak season is from mid-December to the end of Januaryand at Songkran in April; per-night prices may increase by as much as 600 baht.Getting accommodation at a day or two’s notice during the high season isusually not a problem, but may be difficult during the peak period.
Usually, however, you’ll find touts more than happyto help you findsomewhere to stay, from Krabi pier onwards. The places furtheraway offer free transport and are much cheaper (100 baht for a spotless beachhut with bathroom), but the beach may not be so attractive.

Ko Lanta, Accomadation Andalanta Resort

Is a luxury bungalow resort without room servicewith telephones that don’t function, satellite TV and Internet access forguests. Open during the low season. Rooms from 2000 baht, bungalows from 3000baht.

Kantiang Bay View Resort

Restaurant + “Why not?”-bar directly on the

beach. Wooden bungalows with fan (300 baht low season), concrete bungalowswith air-con (beachfront700 baht low season). Not to be confused with the nearby Marine Park ViewResort, which is located on the hill!

Rawi Warin

In the foothills of the Koh Lanta Yai overlooking Klong Tob Bay. Rawi Warin has altogether fiveswimming pools right on the beach front, in the ocean and on top of the hill.Over half the resort is perched on the hillside.

There are over 10,000 treesand flowers planted in the landscaped gardens. Sunset Pool Villa from 25,000baht per night.

Marine Park ViewResort

Restaurant + Shroom Bar with the best view of the beach. Wooden bungalows with fan (200 baht low season), concrete bungalows with air-con (beach view 600baht low season). Now under European management.

The NarimaBungalow Resort

Is set down on the small, private,Klong Nin Beach. The emphasis is on a touch ofbeachside luxury with open air beach views and wooden floors.

Relax Bay Resort

Has its own 1kmlong beach. Fan bungalows from 700

baht,air-con from 1000 baht.


Bamboo BayResort

Aow Mai Pai, located at a Beach at the south tip of Lanta secluded andquiet beach (no other restaurants etc. than the ones from the three”resorts” at the beach and no shopping available), bungalows with A/Cof Fan, part. Sea view.

Where ElseResort

It’s a funky, chilled out bamboo eco tourism village surrounded by oldcoconut palm trees on Klong Khong beach, where no two bungalows are the same.
